Rabina Elyse Goldstein es la lider visionaria y espitual de City Shul.

La Rabina Goldstein es conocida a lo largo de Canadá como una educadora impresionante. Ella fundó Kolel: El Centro Liberal Adulto para aprendizaje Judío en 1991; siendo ella su directora y profesora principal por 20 años. En el 2005 fue premiada con “El Honor Más grande en Norte América para Educación Judía, El Premio del pacto Para educadores de Excelencia”

Ella es la primera mujer en ser electa como presiente interdenominacional (distintas sectas religiosas) en la junta de Rabinos de Toronto y ha sido la presidenta de Rabinos Reformistas de Greater Toronto. Ha sido invitada de lectura en universidades y organizaciones Judias y Cristianas a lo largo de Norte América, Israel y Gran Bretaña. Es parte de la junta de Access Education, ayudando a construir escuelas en las comunidades rurales en Guatemala. Al mismo tiempo, ella sirve como Rabina Voluntaria para La Comunidad Judía Reformista en la ciudad de Guatemala.

Rabbi Elyse Goldstein is the visionary spiritual leader of The City Shul.

Rabbi Goldstein is known throughout Canada as an outstanding educator. She founded Kolel: The Adult Centre for Liberal Jewish Learning in 1991; she was its director and principle teacher for 20 years. In 2005 she was awarded “North America’s highest honor for Jewish Education, The Covenant Award for Outstanding Educators”.

She is the first woman to be elected as president of the interdenominational Toronto Board of Rabbis and is the past president of the Reform Rabbis of Greater Toronto. She has been a guest lecturer at universities and Jewish and Christian organizations throughout North America, Israel, and Great Britain. She is on the Board of Access Education, helping to build schools in rural communities in Guatemala. She is also serving as a volunteer Rabbi for the Reform Jewish Community in Guatemala city.
